Sandy Spit Island - British Virgin Islands

Small, uninhabited tropical island – that’s exactly what excites us! ‘Sandy Spit’ measures less than half an acre in size, and consists entirely of a ring of sandy beach surrounding light foliage. It only takes few minutes to walk around the island and it’s a great place for some snorkeling. There is a rumor that the name came because it’s just “spitting distance” from Jost Van Dyke. Great place to stop by on our trips for some relaxation. The island was used in many Corona Commercials and was featured in an opening scene of Gilligan’s Island!
